About the Role
Garisea is building Kenya's most trusted automotive marketplace — connecting car buyers with verified dealers and a network of trusted automotive partners spanning financing, insurance, vehicle protection, detailing and more.
As our Sales & Growth Executive, you'll own the growth of both sides of our marketplace: signing and growing car dealers, and recruiting and managing automotive service partners. You'll turn first conversations into long-term, revenue-generating relationships — selling dealer subscriptions, advertising packages, lead packs and partner placements — and you'll help shape the sales playbook the rest of the team will run.
This is a hands-on, target-driven role with real ownership. You'll work closely with the founding team, carry your own pipeline, and have a direct line of sight from your effort to company revenue and your own earnings.
This is a full-time, fixed-term (12-month) position based in Nairobi with regular field visits to dealerships and partners across Kenya, with a clear path to renewal based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard and grow car dealer accounts across Kenya
- Recruit and manage automotive partners (financing, insurance, vehicle protection, detailing/PPF and more)
- Sell and renew dealer subscriptions, advertising packages and lead packs
- Own a personal sales pipeline and hit monthly revenue and acquisition targets
- Build long-term relationships with dealers and partners to drive retention and upsell
- Conduct field visits to dealerships and partner sites to win and support accounts
- Gather market feedback and relay product and pricing insights to the team
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline data and sales forecasts
- Help build and document the sales playbook and processes for a growing team
- Represent Garisea professionally at industry events and partner meetings
Requirements
- 4+ years in B2B sales, account management or business development
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience selling to SMEs, dealers or partners (automotive, fintech or marketplace a strong plus)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Swahili
- Comfortable with field sales and regular travel within Kenya
- Strong organizational skills and CRM discipline
- Self-motivated and ownership-driven, thrives in a fast-moving startup
- Diploma or degree in business, marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Valid Kenyan driving license (preferred)
