Questions
What should I ask a garage before a car service?
Ask what the service includes, whether they use genuine/OEM or aftermarket parts, for an itemised quote, the estimated time, the warranty on parts and labour, and whether you can keep the old parts that are replaced.
How do I know a garage actually did the work?
Insist on an itemised invoice listing the work and parts, check the dashboard warning lights are cleared and fluids topped up, ask to see the replaced parts, and note the next service mileage.
