Questions
Why give a receipt for a car deposit?
A receipt proves money changed hands and on what terms — important if a deal falls through and there's a question over a deposit. Pair it with the Car Sale Agreement for the full picture.
Is a receipt the same as a sale agreement?
No. A receipt records a payment; the sale agreement records the full terms of the sale. Use both.
